Ricoh makes new multifunction wide format printer available across EMEA

Ricoh has released its new wide format production CW2201SP for CAD/GIS and graphic applications.

It comes with Ricoh’s PrintHead Piezo technology, four-colour CMYK GEL-Jet waterproof ink that requires zero drying time, and its auto-nozzle detection feature boosts productivity by preventing clogged nozzles.

“Features like zero dry time and anti-clog nozzles make this a cost-effective, efficient, revenue-boosting device for our wide format users,” says Frank de Afonseca, national manager of Direct and Indirect Production Print at Ricoh SA.

The new device is Energy Star compliant, using less than 200W when printing, and meets the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive.

It produces 3,8 A1 pages per minute in mono and 2,1 A1 pages per minute in full colour.

“This is a versatile device,” says De Afonseca. “It’s small, so it fits into almost any environment, it’s easy for operators to become familiar with, and it has a front-facing panel using the same touchscreen technology as our other new devices so it’s quick and easy to use."
