Double BLI wins for Ricoh’s next generation production presses

Ricoh South Africa, JOHANNESBURG, 3 October 2018 – Ricoh is again celebrating the Keypoint Intelligence Buyer’s Lab seal of approval for two of its print production solutions. The Ricoh Pro™ C9200, available in South Africa from 2018 has been named BLI’s Outstanding High-Volume Colour Production Device and the Ricoh Pro™ C7200x Series is BLI’s Outstanding Mid-Volume Colour Production Device.

The Ricoh Pro C9200 and the Ricoh Pro C7200x are both BLI award winners.

BLI, the world’s leading independent evaluator of document imaging hardware and software, chose the winning systems based on an in depth review of a comprehensive set of technical criteria.

The latest recognition comes after the Ricoh Pro™ C9110 Series won BLI’s 2016 Award as Outstanding Mid-to High-Volume Colour Production Device and the Ricoh Pro™ C7110X Series was awarded BLI’s 2016 PRO Award as Outstanding Light- to Mid-Volume Colour Production Device.

Charl Vogel, Head Commercial & Industrial Print for Ricoh South Africa, commented, “We are extremely pleased to recognise the awards at a local level in South Africa – the consistency and improvements from the previous model range flows through convincingly and are well accepted by in field users. Our local customers can now have further confidence in their purchase decision where we have already placed units in the field and for our future sales endeavours.”

“The Ricoh Pro C9200 is an outstanding choice for the commercial print space, delivering high quality, consistent results throughout testing,” adds George Mikolay, Keypoint Intelligence’s Associate Director of Copiers/Production. For the Ricoh Pro C7210 series he adds: “Chief among the system’s advantages is its fifth imaging station, which not only allows for printing white in one pass but also invisible red, in addition to clear, white, neon yellow, and neon pink.”

The new Pro C9200 Series increases revenue and reduces operational costs with its enhanced image quality and outstanding registration. Its new Auto Colour Diagnosis technology also assures colour consistency and stability by detecting and adjusting subtle tone fluctuations while printing.

The new Pro C7200x presents a cost effective route to differentiation for production printing. Enhancements compared to the Pro C7100x platform include improved colour stability thanks to auto calibration with inline sensors, and improved registration with an auto adjustment function. In addition, its fifth station offers wider scope for value added print applications with the new ability to print white plus CMYK in a single pass, enhancing impact, for example on coloured media.
