LG and Ricoh sign unique European partnership agreement

Ricoh and LG have bolstered their long-standing European partnership for ultra-high definition display technologies, such as 4K, with next-generation OLED display technology like that used in curved screens.
The next-generation screens offer superior image quality as well as being more energy efficient, lighter and thinner, reproduce excellent colour quality, offer a wide viewing angle, and response times hundreds of times better than older technologies.
“OLED is the technology of choice for the latest devices such as smartphones, tablets, PCs for high end users like graphic designers, photographers, videographers and other professionals,” says Jacques van Wyk, MD of Ricoh SA.
Ricoh uses the displays across its Communication Services portfolio of devices that includes smart boards that use other advanced technologies such as IBM’s Watson artificial intelligence (AI), collaboration and connectivity apps, and portable projectors, multifunction printers, and IP phones.
The extended agreement between the two companies will put the new screens to use in smart meeting spaces, digital signage, and more from a single supplier.
David Mills, CEO of Ricoh Europe, says that the agreement reflects the two organisations’ common drive for innovation and supports Ricoh’s drive to empower digital workplaces.
Kyongho Kim, President of LG Business Solutions Europe, says, “We’re proud to collaborate with such a reliable and conscientious partner. Together, we can offer customers the most innovative solutions for all of their communications needs. The future promises to bring great advances, both for the partnership and for our customers.”
