The Ricoh Pro VC70000 is the only continuous feed inkjet press available in the market with Fogra’s prestigious Validation Printing System (VPS) certification.
Christian Haneke, Innovation & Solutions Manager at Sattler Premium Print, says: “We are delighted that our Pro VC70000 is now Fogra certified. It allows us to continue our expansion into the commercial print market and produce jobs in inkjet that would previously only have been possible with toner or offset.”
Fogra approved the Ricoh Pro VC70000 for conforming to the ISO 12647-8 standard in two different printing conditions:
- Fogra59 (updated Exchange Colour Space for large colour gamut printers).
- Fogra51 (for ISO 12647-2:2013 printing on Premium Coated paper).
“These are the industry’s highest standards,” says Vaughan Patterson, Head of Commercial and Industrial Print at Ricoh South Africa. “It means our customers can confidently print consistently high-quality results.”
Fogra is the leading research centre for the printing industry. Fogra VPS stringent testing assesses if systems that produce a hard copy validation print, directly from digital data, conform to the ISO 12647-8 standard. It considers a broad range of criteria including proofing, substrate colour and gloss, colour accuracy, light fastness, and compliance with the PDF/X standard.
The recognition for the Ricoh Pro VC70000 follows Fogra certifications for the Ricoh Pro C9200, Ricoh Pro C7200 and Ricoh Pro C5300 colour sheetfed presses.
Clive Stringer, Director of Continuous Feed for High End Software in the Graphic Communications Group at Ricoh Europe, says: “The Fogra certification confirms the high-quality results delivered by the Ricoh Pro VC70000. It gives our clients confidence in its ability to produce repeatedly excellent print consistently with which they can drive their businesses forward. We are proud that it is the latest industry recognition of the system’s class leading performance capabilities joining the Printing Industries of Americas (PIA) InterTech Technology Award and an EDP Award.”
