Ricoh to unveil TotalFlow Cloud Suite for app-like production print capabilities

Ricoh will unveil TotalFlow Cloud Suite, a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) toolbox for print service providers (PSP) and corporates, at drupa 2016.

TotalFlow Cloud Suite is comprised of data cleansing, Web-to-print, marketing asset management, cross media services, and workflow automation. TotalFlow Cloud Suite enhances the accessibility of key solutions to boost productivity and performance.

“The suite makes key solutions for productivity and performance accessible to a wide audience and they’re carefully selected, we’ve put them through a stringent due diligence process, and we’ve paid particular attention to data security and compliance with the applicable data protection standards,” says Jacques van Wyk, COO of Ricoh SA.

The suite is subscription-based, a model that allows PSPs to choose the components they want without capex investment. The model also allows them to add whatever functionality they need as demand dictates to grow their service responsively.

“Not every PSP is a large operation with their own IT department. In fact, a large portion of the market is made up of family businesses that have limited resources,” says Van Wyk. “The cloud model has proven itself in many spheres of the IT and enterprise sectors because it removes the challenges that come with having your own infrastructure, like cost, expertise, and the time to manage and maintain it. These PSPs are good at what they do, many have been doing it for years, decades even, but they don’t have the resources to complicate their lives with the new wave of workflow solutions that will actually enhance their businesses. So we take the hassle and the burden away from them so they can compete on a level footing with the big guys and potentially tap new markets with sophisticated services for their clients.”

The flexibility of TotalFlow Cloud Suite means PSPs can build toolkits that best fit their business needs. It also ensures they have the latest tools, with all updates and enhancements as they become available, without the disruption normally associated with the process.

“Apple’s app-sphere is great because it’s a vetted service consumers know they can trust. That’s what we’ve created here, specifically for guys who offer increasingly complex services and products coming off production presses, by removing the complexity through screened solutions,” says Van Wyk. “They can browse, select, and right away begin working with the tools in the suite so they’re immediately productive, profitable, fast, and efficient – and they’re only paying for the volume of work they’re actually producing. The cloud system is a great one that’s really coming into its own in an age of connectivity.”
