MBA Group partners with Ricoh in multi-million pound landmark deal

MBA Group has bought three Ricoh Pro VC60000 continuous, colour, digital inkjet presses as part of a £5 million strategic investment programme.

MBA has also expanded its IT infrastructure and staff to support its ethos of choice for clients with over a third of its 300 employees now engaged in data, digital communications, analytics and R&D.

Bachar Aintaoui, CEO of MBA Group, says: “The digital revolution has transformed how consumers research services and products. To facilitate the price aware and privacy cautious consumer, companies must be able to navigate the ever changing communications landscape, taking advantage of new channels available to reach customers. This is exactly where the MBA Group is able to help companies”.

This order follows installations across Europe including in Finland, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Sweden.

MBA’s new Ricoh presses will make it possible to connect customers across any channel and in the context of their communications lifecycle. The rollout programme begins in March and concludes in Europe’s spring, 2016.

“The Pro VC60000 is a high volume digital solution that complements offset printing while narrowing the quality and run-length gap between digital and offset,” says Jacques van Wyk, COO of Ricoh SA. “The print quality is exceptional in relation to the price per impression with substrate flexibility to produce magazine and book covers as well as other applications that improves the level of offset transfer.”

Ricoh believes the Pro VC60000 will open up new markets for printers by setting a benchmark for quality in its class as a result of its unique multi drop ink technology.

The modular system is the most versatile colour inkjet system available on the market and marks a new milestone in the evolution of variable inkjet printing.

The Ricoh Pro VC60000 will introduce a quality of output to support the marketing needs and expectations of customers. The new inkjet technology, with dynamic variable drop size, provides exceptional print quality. The system can produce up to 40 million impressions per month.
