Let People Succeed: Empowering workplaces for a thriving future

In an era powered by digital technology, we can accomplish more than ever before. Yet, despite the incredible pace we all work, thanks in large part to technology, problems persist. Connectivity challenges and barriers to collaboration continue to plague many of us, negatively affecting our workplace experience and even hindering our potential.

These challenges can impact how we feel about our work, creating a spectrum of emotions from frustration to apathy. But since work is an essential part of our lives, shouldn’t we make every effort to ensure that it’s as enjoyable and rewarding as possible?

The truth about technology

Our new research reveals a harsh truth: companies are failing to prioritise investment in the right technological advancements and as a result they risk losing their most valuable asset — their people. Bill Gates once said, “Take our 20 best people away, and I will tell you that Microsoft will become an unimportant company.”. That’s a pretty staggering statement when you consider that Microsoft has over 220,000 employees. But it’s a quote that starkly highlights why investing in the right technology is not just about maintaining productivity; it's about retaining the innovators, the problem-solvers, and the leaders who drive businesses forward.

Enhancing experiences with people-first solutions

At Ricoh, we have learned a lot about how people work over the last 80 years, and we have made it our mission to transform the way people and organisations work for the better. Our approach is simple - we don't just offer technology; we offer solutions that put people and their experiences first. Whether it's in the office or at home, our aim is to create environments where people can thrive. Because when workspaces work, they bring out the best in everyone, unlocking their potential and driving success.

Our new marketing campaign, ‘Let People Succeed’, reflects our passion for making work rewarding for everyone. This isn’t about our products and services; it’s about what impacts people – bringing to life our people-first vision that technology should be a facilitator, not a hindrance.

Practice what you preach

But how do we put this into practice in what we do every day at Ricoh? Well, it’s about keeping people at the centre of everything we do. This includes what we invest in, how we design a product or service, or how we continually train and support our own talent - it always comes back to people. Whether it’s helping people and businesses make smart decisions by providing meaningful ESG metrics, developing products and solutions that are user-friendly and accessible, or consistently being recognised by our customers for outstanding service and support (as evidenced by recent IDC and Gartner reports) we’re always looking at how we can improve the employee experience.

Whether you're a big company or a small one, our goal at Ricoh is the same - to put our expertise to use and enable you to create environments where your people can thrive, innovate and succeed.
