About Mandeville
Established in 1973, the Mandeville Sports and Social Club is the flagship facility for disabled athletes in South Africa. Mandeville’s facilities include an indoor aquatic centre, bowling green, tennis court, archery range and indoor centre, home of Wheelchair Basketball SA. Mandeville also sports a spacious clubhouse that caters for table tennis, wheelchair dancing and social activities.
There is a need for disabled people to engage in sport, social and recreational activities and Mandeville regularly makes its facilities available to various schools and organisations that cater for the elderly and disabled, with club members on hand to share expertise and provide guidance.
Ricoh and Mandeville
Over the past decade, Ricoh has supported Mandeville in many ways, including sponsorship of office equipment and donations of wheelchairs to promising athletes. Ricoh has also used the club’s facilities for its own team building and business functions, bringing both staff and customers to the club.
Mandeville and Ricoh will also work together to actively seek job opportunities for those athletes requiring assistance and so making a real, positive impact in their lives.
